Referral Program
BetMGM New York features a referral program. It’s a more traditional system where both users will get $50, but there are stipulations. The new user who receives a referral must register and make a deposit into their account. Then, they must play through their $50 bonus in order for the user that sent the referral to get their $50 bonus. These tasks must be accomplished within a 30-day window.
That’s a tough question to answer because odds vary from one sportsbook to the next. However, it is easy to compare BetMGM to other sportsbooks and draw some general conclusions. BetMGM Point Spreads and Totals

The point spreads are exactly the same in terms of the line and the odds, so that’s just a matter of sportsbook preference. If you had a bonus at BetMGM, you could use it on that bet since DraftKings doesn’t offer a better line. The totals bets are where things get interesting. BetMGM’s line for the over is better, as it’s a full point lover than DraftKings’. However, that comes at the cost of worse-paying odds. A $110 bet at DraftKings on the over would pay $100, while BetMGM would require a $115 bet for the same win, but with a slightly better line. It’s a give and take, and you have to decide whether the additional point is advantageous enough to make it worth a few extra dollars.

Does BetMGM Have the Best Moneyline Odds?
It might have the best odds from time to time, and it might not. It depends on many factors. Moneyline bettors tend to gravitate toward baseball for its strategic play and potential for even matchups. Let’s look at one game, comparing the lines at BetMGM and DraftKings.

How To Shop for the Best Futures Odds
When you’re betting on futures markets, it helps to understand theoretical hold, or the profit a sportsbook expects to make on a particular futures market. The higher the theoretical hold, the more a sportsbook expects to make. Small differences of 1-2% usually don’t impact the odds too much. But a bigger difference of, say, 6% may start to show in the odds listed, with the higher theoretical hold resulting in worse odds for the bettor. The desktop version of the MGM sportsbook is very comprehensive. It fills the entirety of a 1920-by-1080 resolution and features multiple lists to select sports to bet on, a scrolling promotional banner, bet slip, media and statistics window, and a parlay generator.
BetMGM New York is certainly tailored to experienced bettors. They will likely take advantage of some of the shortcuts available and how to access certain markets. New bettors may be overwhelmed at the options available. But the presentation is solid despite being a little cluttered.

However, the experience seems to be a little different on Android. Google Play reviews show a 2.3 rating average with over 1,500 reviews. Common issues that seem to pop up are technical glitches, lack of customer support, and bettors getting locked out of their accounts.
During our testing of the Android app on a budget-level device, we experienced fairly slow navigation. It takes a few seconds to switch over to different sports and betting markets. That can be an issue for live bettors jumping around to different games. The app never ended up hanging or having us force restart it, but it certainly needs better optimization.
There is access to frequently asked questions, but live customer support doesn’t seem to be available on the app. That’s a significant problem when bettors are looking for immediate answers, and there’s a live chat available on the desktop version. We did not run into any other technical glitches or get locked out of the account.
Overall, the MGM sportsbook app has a clean, stable app that features all the bets that are also available on the desktop version. Both versions are also very similar, so it makes it easy to switch over to each format. The score gets a little dinged due to various issues with the Android app. There’s plenty of room for improvement on that version.
When we grade each section of a sportsbook, we’re not just saying whether it’s high-quality or not; we’re comparing them to the market as a whole. There are issues we have with the Android app, and the platform overall may be a little complex for beginners.
