Madison Square Garden has seen its fair share of iconic nights, but Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals will go down as an all-timer.
In front of a star-studded, celebrity-packed crowd, the New York Knicks pulled off the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history, stunning the San Antonio Spurs 107-106.
The miracle victory puts the Knicks just one win away from their first NBA championship in over 50 years, and New York’s biggest star power was there to witness the magic firsthand.
Taylor Swift and Sydney Sweeney Celebrate Historic New York Knicks Comeback
The energy inside the World’s Most Famous Arena reached a fever pitch after the final buzzer, with pop icon Taylor Swift leading the celebrations.
Swift, attending the game alongside Haim sisters Alana and Este, was seen celebrating wildly in the stands as the Knicks finalized the historic turnaround.
Joining the frenzy was Hollywood A-lister Sydney Sweeney, who took in the action alongside music mogul Scooter Braun.
Sweeney joined thousands of die-hard New York fans on their feet, witnessing a basketball miracle that many had written off by halftime.
For the first two quarters, it looked like San Antonio would cruise to an easy victory. The Spurs stormed out to a 19-point lead in the first quarter and stretched that cushion to 27 points at the half.
Early in the third quarter, the deficit swelled to a massive 29 points. Yet, fueled by the deafening MSG crowd, New York refused to quit.
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet Watch OG Anunoby Game-Winner
Also spotted courtside was Kylie Jenner, attending the game with her boyfriend and noted Knicks fan, Timothée Chalamet.
The couple had a front-row seat to an incredible individual defensive and offensive sequence from New York’s OG Anunoby that will be replayed in Knicks lore forever.
The improbable fightback was sparked by Jalen Brunson, who poured in 17 of his game-high 36 points after the halftime break.
Anunoby was equally spectacular, hitting seven three-pointers on his way to 33 points.
With just seconds remaining on the clock and the Knicks trailing by one, Brunson’s driving attempt bounced off the front rim.
Out of nowhere, Anunoby soared above Dylan Harper and Devin Vassell, tipping the ball in with his right hand with only 1.2 seconds left on the clock.
The play left the arena in absolute disbelief.
Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns perfectly summed up the jaw-dropping tip-in after the game, calling it the “right hand of God.”
San Antonio Spurs Suffer Historic Collapse Against Resilient Knicks
While Madison Square Garden erupted into a chorus of “Don’t Stop Believin’,” the reality of an unprecedented collapse set in for the San Antonio Spurs.
After a blistering 76-point first half, the Spurs offense completely dried up against New York’s suffocating defense.
San Antonio managed just 30 points in the entire second half. It marks the largest second-half scoring drop-off in NBA playoff history.
Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama, who heavily dominated the first half, faded late in the game. He later conceded that the team simply lacked the necessary hunger to close it out after the break.
With a 3-1 lead in the series, the resilient Knicks now head back to San Antonio.
They are just 48 minutes of basketball away from capturing a fairytale NBA title that a star-studded New York crowd won’t soon forget.
