Scratches and Conditions for 2026 Belmont Stakes Day at Saratoga

The nine-horse field for the 158th Belmont Stakes is intact – zero scratches, all nine horses confirmed to run at Saratoga Race Course on Saturday, June 6, with post time set for 7:04 p.m. ET. This is horse racing’s $2 million Grade 1 showdown, and every entrant is accounted for.

Track Conditions and Weather for Belmont Stakes Day

The main track at Saratoga is fast and the turf course is firm to begin Belmont Stakes Day. Those are ideal surfaces to open the card, but conditions bear watching as the afternoon develops.

The National Weather Service puts the greatest precipitation risk between 4–8 p.m. ET – a window that runs directly through the Manhattan Stakes (Grade 1, ~6:11 p.m.) and into the Belmont Stakes itself at 7:04 p.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the low 80s for much of the afternoon. If rain arrives on the early end of that window and is sustained, watch for track condition updates before the late stakes sequence gets underway.
