The New York Giants’ sidelines will look different in 2026. John Harbaugh is the new head coach, and he’s bringing in his own staff. Only tight ends coach Tim Kelly and interim defensive coordinator Charlie Bullen are expected to return in some capacity. One of Harbaugh’s biggest hires for the Giants will be the offensive coordinator. Here are three coaches Harbaugh could hire to run the Giants’ offense.
Todd Monken

The overwhelming favorite to be the next Giants offensive coordinator is Todd Monken, Harbaugh’s OC in Baltimore the last three seasons.
ESPN said that this job is “Todd Monken’s to lose.”
Football-wise, it makes a ton of sense. Monken helped elevate the Baltimore Ravens to one of the NFL’s most prolific offenses.
Lamar Jackson won his second MVP under Monken. During that season, Jackson threw for 3,678 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, while running for 821 yards and five touchdowns.
Monken also knows how to establish a potent rushing attack. Monken’s rushing offense ranked first, first, and second the last three seasons.
Jaxson Dart might not be Jackson, but he has a similar playing style—rocket arm with good running instincts.
The only thing stopping Monken from becoming the Giants’ offensive coordinator is if he takes a head coaching job with another team.
Willie Taggart
If Monken doesn’t get the job, Willie Taggart is viewed as a viable candidate to become the OC.
Taggart coached the Ravens’ running backs since 2023.
With Jackson and Derrick Henry in the backfield, the Ravens transformed into one of the most dynamic rushing attacks.
The Ravens ranked first in yards per carry (5.2), second in rushing yards per game (156.6), and third in touchdowns (23).
Taggart has experience as a head coach at the college level: South Florida (2013-2016), Oregon (2017), Florida State (2018-2019), and Florida Atlantic (2020-2022).
Taggart has never called plays before in the NFL.
Even if the Giants hire someone else to be the offensive coordinator, there is a strong chance Harbaugh brings in Taggart to be the team’s running back coach.
Tee Martin
Harbaugh will likely hire someone he has coached with before.
If Monken or Taggart don’t get the job, Tee Martin could be a dark horse candidate for offensive coordinator.
Martin joined Baltimore’s staff in 2021 as the wide receivers coach, a position he held for two seasons. In 2023, Martin became the quarterbacks coach, where he helped Jackson transform into one of the five best quarterbacks in the NFL.
Martin has never called plays at the NFL level. However, his knowledge of the quarterback position could help bring the best out of Dart.
