“One thing we talked about a lot this time of year is that basketball in February is a fight,” Fordham coach Jeff Neubauer said. “Both teams did a terrific job fighting tonight.Davidson is a very skilled team, a very good offensive team, as good as there is in the country, and tonight they had a lot of fight.”
He added, “We did keep fighting. We were down double figures and came back, Jalen Cobb made a lot of shots to help us get back in the game. Maybe the possession it comes down to is when we were down six and they got three shots at it, meaning there were two long offensive rebounds. That was probably our opportunity. ”
Davidson plays Saint Joseph’s at home on Friday. Fordham matches up against Rhode Island on the road on Saturday.
