The New York Yankees today announced that they have partnered with City Winery to create Yankee Stadium’s first wine bar — the “City Winery Wine Bar” — which is now open to all fans 21-and-older on the Field Level in Section 106 during all Yankees and NYCFC home games.
Featured wines, including locally produced and award-winning selections from City Winery in New York City, Yankees-branded wines, and a variety of other noted brands will be available by the bottle or glass. Additional offerings will include Moët & Chandon champagne, along with sangria and red and white wines from Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.
Bottled wine will be poured into aerated carafes, and all wine purchases (by the bottle or glass) may be brought by fans to their seats or to social gathering areas around Yankee Stadium.
The bar, which has been designed with a cask-themed aesthetic, marks City Winery’s first permanent wine bar in a professional sports stadium.
Yankee Stadium has been previously honored for the variety of wines on offer, having been a part of Wine Spectator’s “Award of Excellence” list since 2016. Additionally, the Yankees Steakhouse (located at Gate 6) has also received Wine Spectator’s “Award of Excellence” designation over the same stretch.
