Earlier today, Major League Baseball released the 2019 regular season schedule. Please find some Yankees schedule notes and highlights below, and a PDF of the Yankees’ 2019 schedule attached.
YANKEES 2019 SCHEDULE NOTES:
Ø Will open the season with their earliest-ever regular season calendar date for a home or away game (3/28 vs. Baltimore at Yankee Stadium).
Ø Will have their first meetings against Boston with a two-game series from 4/16-17 at Yankee Stadium…other home matchups vs. Boston will take place from 5/30-6/2 and 8/2-4…will also play two games from 6/29-30 against Boston at London Stadium, which will be played as Red Sox home games.
Ø Will face the NL West in Interleague Play, including home matchups from 5/27-29 vs. San Diego, which is the only team in Major League Baseball yet play a regular season game at the current Stadium…the Yankees will also play home games vs. Colorado (7/19-21) and Arizona (7/30-31), and road games at San Francisco (4/26-28), Arizona (4/30-5/1) and Los Angeles-NL (8/23-25).
Ø Will play four Subway Series games against the Mets (6/10-11 at Yankee Stadium and 7/2-3 at Citi Field).
Ø Will play at home on Memorial Day (5/27 vs. San Diego), on the road on July 4 at Tampa Bay, and at home on Labor Day (9/2 vs. Texas).
Ø Play their final homestand of the season with games from 9/17-19 vs. Los Angeles-AL and 9/20-22 vs. Toronto.
Ø Finish with 24 of 36 games on the road, including their final games of the year at Tampa Bay (9/24-25) and Texas (9/27-29)
