The Ducks got on the board right away in the first inning after Lew Ford and Travis Snider roped a pair of doubles to bring in the first run of the ball game. Long Island held the lead until the third inning, when Reid Brignac drove in a pair with a base hit up the middle.

A run-scoring fielder’s choice off the bat of Brock Stassi in the fifth inning and an RBI single from James Skelton in the sixth inning finalized the scoring for the Bees.

Jake Fisher (3-4) suffered the loss, lasting four and one-third innings, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks, striking out five. Mark Hamburger (6-5) earned the win for the Bees, throwing seven and two-thirds innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits, walking a pair, and striking out six.

Ford paced the Flock with a pair of hits.
