Mets Add Todd Frazier

Looks like the Mets have completed their infield for the 2018 season.

Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic was the first to report free agent third baseman/first baseman Todd Frazier has come to terms on a two year, $17 million dollar deal with the Mets.

Frazier was acquired by the Yankees from the White Sox just before last season’s trade deadline and helped them get to the 7th game of the American League Championship Series.

The soon to be 32-year old (February 12th) hit 11 HRS and drove in 32 in 66 games with the Yankees. He had some big hits in the post season while taking on a leadership role in the Yankee clubhouse.

With the signing of Frazier, Asdrubal Cabrera will likely start at second base.

That infamous Mets fan who gave Frazier the “thumbs down” at CitiField last September and started a movement can change to a “thumbs up.”
