The Paley Center for Media has selected The Paley Center Celebrates 100 Years of the NHL as its next PaleyLive event. The program will feature the New York premiere screening of The NHL: 100 Years, a conversation with the NHL Commissioner, former players, and audience Q&A, and will take place on November 28th at 7 p.m. at the Paley Center’s New York location.

This latest selection to the PaleyLive fall season will be part of the National Hockey League’s year-long Centennial celebration. The screening will be followed by an inspiring conversation between NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman; Ken Daneyko, three-time Stanley Cup Champion with the New Jersey Devils and current Devils analyst for MSG; Rod Gilbert, Hockey Hall of Famer and New York Rangers legend; Pat LaFontaine, Hockey Hall of Famer with the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres, and New York Rangers; Bryan Trottier, Hockey Hall of Famer and seven-time Stanley Cup Champion; and moderator Tony Luftman, Host of NHL Network.

“The NHL: 100 Years celebrates a century of remarkable athletes, unforgettable stories and innumerable thrills for our fans.” Bettman said. “The Paley Center for Media is an ideal setting for the New York premiere of this timely documentary, and we are delighted to present the film – and the panel discussion – as part of a special evening for the PaleyLive audience.”

“The National Hockey League offers fans one of the most exciting and fast-paced games in professional sports,” said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center’s President & CEO. “We’re so proud to be a part of the NHL’s centennial celebration, and we look forward to welcoming Commissioner Bettman and these legendary, Hall of Fame players for what will be a fascinating discussion on the incredible feats of athleticism, inspiring victories, and heartbreaking losses that have thrilled fans of the game for the past 100 years.”
