Yankees Hope Week continued on Thursday as Brian Cashman, members of the starting rotation with Amber Sabathia and Rosmaly Severino, dressed up as superheroes in a surprise visit to A Moment of Magic volunteers at a party for children with pediatric cancer and their families Yankee Stadium.
College of Mount Saint Vincent graduates Kylee McGrane and Maggie McAndrew started A Moment of Magic in 2014. The program, with the help of volunteers in college, arranged visits to sick children in hospitals, schools, and social service institutions. The volunteers, usually visiting children with pediatric cancer, are often dressed as recognizable princesses from children’s movies.
