The Mets Wilmer Flores and Yankees’ Mark Teixeira both earned their first-ever ToppsNow cards today, the daily cards produced for the first time this year by Topps and MLB to honor the best moments every day of the MLB season. Flores record-tying six hit day against the Cubs, and Teixeira ‘s two homer day against the Padres (which put him over 400 career) gave fans the opportunity to purchase the cards now until 2:00 pm Tuesday. Cards are received within three business days.
The program has been a huge success for Topps thus far, with over 125,000 cards sold since Opening Day. The Mets’ Bartolo Colon remains the most purchased one day card with over 8,8oo on May 8, with the Nationals Max Scherzer being second for one day sales with over 3,700 on May 12. The Cubs have the most cards (13) with Boston, Washington, and LA Dodgers right behind with 12 cards to date.
