LI Ducks Has Its First Massage Monday

The Long Island Ducks have an interesting promotion this season. Every Monday home game this season is known as Massage Mondays.

Sponsored by La Vida Massage in Smithtown, NY will be giving all fans a free massage during the game.

“The idea was a combination between the Ducks and us,” said La Vida owner Jim Nuzzo. “We came to the Ducks to see what we could do and came up with this to fit our needs.”

This seems to be the first promotion of this kind on minor league baseball. Founded in 2011, La Vida is a full service spa and salon.

Tonight was the first Massage Monday, but there will be three others this season – July 25, August 8, and September 5 will also serve as this unique promotional day.
