The New York Red Bulls opened their season on Sunday afternoon against Toronto FC at Red Bull Arena.

The Red Bulls unveiled banners for the 2013 and 2015 Supporters’ Shield titles, part of the festive atmosphere of opening day. There were fireworks before the game during the National Anthems of the United States and Canada (photo above).

Toronto FC won 2-0, with the game winner coming on a penalty kick by Giovinco.
