Red Bulls Ready To Defend Supporters’ Shield

The New York Red Bulls enter the 2016 season looking to defend their Supporters’ Shield, awarded to the regular season champion.

They seat team records for wins and points, but lost in the Eastern Conference Finals to Columbus.

The Red Bulls open the season at home on March 6 against Toronto FC at 1:30 pm.

After sweeping the season series last year, the Red Bulls take on New York City FC three times again this season. They face off on May 21 at 3:00 pm and July 3 at noon at Yankee Stadium, and on July 24 at 1:00 pm from Red Bull Arena.

After the opener on March 6, the Red Bulls travel to Montreal to play the Impact on the 12th and return home for Houston on the 19th at 7:00 pm.

They start April with a game at the rival New England Revolution on the 1st, followed by hosting Sporting KC on the 9th at 7:00 pm. The Red Bulls then head to the west coast, with matchups at San Jose on the 13th and Colorado on the 16th. They close April with games at Red Bull Arena, as they host Orlando City on the 24th and FC Dallas on the 29th.

On Friday, May 6, they travel to Orlando City and then to DC to face the United on the 13th. They return home for Chicago on May 18 at 7:30 pm, then face NYC FC at Yankee Stadium on the 21st. They close May hosting Toronto FC on the 28th at 7:00 pm.

Their only home game in June is on the 19th against Seattle at 7:30 pm, followed by two on the road, at Real Salt Lake on the 22nd and an Eastern Conference Finals rematch on the 25th in Columbus.

After they open July with a game at NYC FC on the 3rd, they host Portland on the 10th at 6:00 pm and Orlando City on the 13th at 7:30 pm. They then travel to Philadelphia take on their new rival, the Union, on the 17th, followed by hosting NYC FC on the 24th at 1:00 pm. They close out July in Chicago on the 31st.

In August, they take on the LA Galaxy on the road on the 7th, host Montreal on the 13th at 7:00 pm, at DC United on the 21st, and host New England on the 28th.

They open September in Vancouver on the 3rd, followed by hosting DC United at Red Bull Arena on the 11th at 1:00 pm. They next travel to Toronto for a match on the 18th, and host Montreal on the 24th at 7:00 pm.

The Red Bulls start October with two rivalry games, as they host Philadelphia on the 1st at 7:00 pm and Columbus on the 15th. They close out the season in Philadelphia on Sunday, October 23.
