Rangers Post-Game Audio

PHILADELPHIA – The Rangers dropped their second preseason game, 5-3, to the Philadelphia Flyers.

TEAM EFFORT – Six different Rangers registered a point in tonight’s game. Through two preseason games, 13 different Rangers have recorded a point and six different Blueshirts have tallied a goal.

DEUCES WILD – The Rangers have tallied two goals in four of six periods through two preseason games this season.

SECOND TO NONE – The Blueshirts recorded two goals in the second period of tonight’s contest, and they outshot the Flyers, 15-7, in the second period. In their first two preseason games, New York has recorded four goals and has outshot its opponent, 25-12, in the second period.

HOT AT THE DOT – New York won 33 of 62 faceoffs (53.2%) in tonight’s contest, including 11 of 19 faceoffs in the offensive zone (57.9%). Each of the six Rangers who took a faceoff in the game posted a faceoff win percentage of 50% or higher. In two preseason games, the Rangers have won 63 of 118 faceoffs (53.4%).

HITTING MACHINE – The Rangers were credited with 31 hits in the game. Thirteen different Blueshirts were credited with at least one hit in the contest, while seven Rangers tied for the team-high with three hits apiece
