New York Red Bulls Postgame

HARRISON, NJ (September 20, 2014) – MLS Golden Boot leader Bradley Wright-Phillips recorded his third hat trick this season as the New York Red Bulls defeated Seattle Sounders FC 4-1 at Red Bull Arena on Saturday night in front of a sold out crowd of 25,000.

With the three goals, Wright-Phillips moved into a tie for fifth place on the all-time single season scoring record. The Red Bulls forward is just three goals shy of tying the league record of 27 set by Roy Lassiter and Chris Wondolowski.

The Red Bulls (10-8-11, 41 pts.), unbeaten in their last four and just a point shy of third place in the Eastern Conference, return to action on Wednesday, September 24, when they travel to El Salvador to take on C.D. FAS in CONCACAF Champions League group play at 10:00 PM (TV: Fox Sports 2).
