this year, hopefully with some young new blood and a rookie coach they may at least be fun to watch.

That's my hope too Jersey. New coach, new style, new system and new attitude. I expect an in your face attack and guys clearing out the crease. I expect players standing up for themselves as well as their teammates. Not goon crap but enough of the usual turn the other cheek B.S. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the younger guys grow and hopefully I'll live long enough to see a real run for the cup in a couple of years especially when this kid goalie from Russia comes over next year along with our first pick from the 2018 draft.

I'm kinda excited about "the rebuild".....low expectations this year, but they should be exciting. I agree, very glad to see the end of "turn the other cheek" also. Look for Hayes, Zucarella and McQuaid to go in deadline deals......

I like the idea of McQuaid clearing the crease but I agree he'll be moved at the deadline. Don't be surprised to see Vesey and a few others go too.

Not this year and not for a long time moving forward. Goddamn they are STACKED and it's all youngsters! It's not just the additions of super stars in Panarin(28) and Trouba(25). It's Kakko who will be one of the best players in the NHL in the very near future he's 18!!!! Adam Fox(21) looks like the real deal. Kravstov(19) who gets lost in the shuffle top 10 pick last year thrived against grown men in Europe looks like a real play maker and while not as hyped as Kakko, he can be the 1B to Kakko's 1A for the next decade.

Two more guys who people probably wrote off because of the lost season, 2017 1st round picks Chytil(20) and Andersson(20). Both reportedly showed up to camp like completely different versions than the players who showed up last year. Bigger stronger more mature. Both are going to be given the chance to be the 2nd and 3rd line centers.

Hank's in his twilight but with this team in front of him you can definitely see a little resurgence. They're going to monitor his play time and Georgiev(23) showed he's got the stuff to start and right behind them is superstar prospect Shesterkin(23) who will start in the AHL to adjust to NA rinks. Throw in some of the vets who have been here Mika(26) and Kreider(29) and this team has the potential to be a ****ing powerhouse for a long time.

And they still have huge big time prospects waiting in the wings who should be ready for the big show in the next year or two. It's hard not to get excited as hell about the present and the future.
