He has not played one inning at first in his career. I would figure they probably won't give him a look there. If he wins the last spot on the bench he'll probably be used as the right fielder vs lefties. If Saenz does I figure it will be Easley.
For the Wright haters. Wright's career numbers with runners on 2nd and 3rd
      .343/.481/.600 /1.081

Runner on 3rd, less than 2 out
      .419/.431/.671/1.102

Perhaps overtstated..off of Wagner made it stand out...but he was a very good PH..and defense still was accurate... And now a Phillie..which means more AB's late vs Wagner..

        ALSO..

        .314/.370/.390/.760 in 07 vs lh..

        and

        .289/.337/.398/.735 career vs lh...

..284 .353 .392 .746 career PH which is also pretty good..

NO POWER..but good hitter..career #'s show he's pretty clutch with men on..

Chavez can't play BOTH OF spots...you know Alou will miss time..so if Chavez takes his spot when on DL..you still need a 4th OF for late D...

Anyway..this is debating LAST SPOT on Bench..so take your pick..

I'm really more interested in finding a decent backup for Delgado, as I do not trust Delgado being able to stay healthy/productive all season.

I can't see Easley, Saenz (both have played 1B), Clark ALL making the team.

I agree. I see Saenz winning the last spot on the bench. Clark will be called up when Alou gets hurt in the middle of May.

If they were going to bring back a right hand hitting outifelder, I would rather have seen the X man come back.
