Here is the whole, stupid, story:

During a special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets the discussion turned to the central collections office that is tasked with processing ticket payments and other paperwork. This discussion prompted Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, a white man, to say that central collections had become a "black hole" of paperwork as often times paperwork simply disappears there.

    And now the stupidity:

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud "Excuse me!" He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a "white hole."

That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.

For his part, Mayfield told them to lump it because not only is the term "black hole" a perfectly common idiom for what he meant, it is a scientific term for a collapsed star into which all matter is sucked, unable to escape. And nowhere, anywhere has anyone ever used the term "black hole" as a racial epithet. Any fourth grader or sci fi TV fan understands what a black hole is and none of them would peg the term to race. My favorite "call your bullshit" moment:

I want to say it was about 4-5 years ago, there was a pretty intense manhunt in the Florida Everglades. A felon on parole was stopped on a routine traffic stop, shot a deputy and then took his sidearm as well, and took off into the mangrove swamps. A large manhunt ensued that included the local sheriff's office, Florida Fish & Wildlife (which actually has a very good SWAT team specifically for pursuits into the swamps like this) and I think even FBI got involved.

Eventually the guy was cornered in the swamp and both sheriff deputies and Florida F&W were involved in the shootout. The suspect was shot and killed...67 times.

Now even though this jackbag was a repeated violent felon who'd shot & killed a cop and fled, the media smelled blood in the water on police brutality and cornered the county sheriff about it.

When asked why the suspect had been shot 67 times, the sheriff replied, "Well, we ran out of bullets. If we'd had more with us, we'd have reloaded again and shot him again."

The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. -- Jeff Cooper, the Art of the Rifle

I wish to repeat my story about my two masters degree having fat lib social worker argued with me for 30ish minutes recently -- I reprimanded her for reprimanding a resident for stating that "another resident had acted in a niggardly manner..."

I get off when people trip over their own stupidity in an effort to further political correctness.
