About Caesars Sportsbook New York

New York state residents have online access to Caesars Sportsbook through a compatible web browser and an official mobile app. It was one of the first four sports betting apps that launched when the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC) allowed online sports betting to begin.

Caesars has one of the top gaming platforms, featuring some of the best sign-up bonus offers, ongoing promotions, and very competitive odds. The sportsbook itself is easy to use with a simple interface. Bettors will have familiarity with it whether browsing through the desktop version or using its mobile app, as they are generally the same.

Caesars is the top online sportsbook for New York in terms of betting handle and revenue. While Caesars has dipped in market share since its original launch, they still remain one of the big three platforms available in the Empire State. In addition, they have a strong retail sportsbook presence.

The Oneida Indian Nation partners with Caesars to operate its sportsbooks at retail locations. This includes Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, the Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango, and Point Place Casino in Bridgeport.

Pros and Cons of Caesars New York

Why We Like ItWhat Should Improve

(requires $25 or $50 wagers)
➕ New and unique promotions available on a daily basis➖ Sign-up problems plagued the initial New York launch,
likely resulting in lower market share

Promo

Caesars New York has one of the best welcome offers among the competition. Get up to $1,250 on Caesars + 1000 Tier Credits + 1000 Reward Credits®! Claim this promo by using our Caesars NY promo code: SHARPBETFULL. Always check the terms and conditions and see more details on the welcome promotion above.

Smaller ongoing promos are also available for current users. These bonuses include profit boosts that increase bettors’ net winnings. When compared to other sportsbooks, Caesars does offer unique promotions that are specific to games or events happening on a particular day.

There are also sport-specific promos for bettors. For example, Caesars ran a baseball promotion that would have given bettors $50 for every run their teams scored in the seventh inning.

Caesars Rewards can also be linked through a sportsbook account. When wagers are placed, Reward Credits® and tier points are earned. Frequent bettors can jump up to specific tiers, which can offer monthly free bets and special bets during a birthday month. Reward Credits® points can be redeemed at physical casino and hotel locations across the country, which may feature lower hotel rates, exclusive email offers, and more.

There are many lucrative promotions that follow the welcome bonus, including parlay boosts, free bets for completing specific wagers, daily specials, and more. Caesars Sportsbook does a great job of providing variety and depth in their promo sections.

Promotions for Current Users

After completing the welcome bonus, bettors can look to various promos that Caesars New York offers. Promotions are listed at the top of the desktop website and mobile app. Daily odds boosts and bonus features can be seen as the user scrolls through the banner. Another way to view promos is by selecting “View All” or selecting the “Promos” option at the top (desktop) or bottom (mobile) of the screen.

While it’s nice to see a lot of different bonus offers available, some may require steep bets to participate in. For example, to receive a potential free bet, the promotion requires at least a $25 or $50 wager. Also, in many cases, that wager must be a winning selection. For casual bettors that play with less money, they may not be partaking that often in current promotions.

Additional terms and conditions may apply. Wagering on both sides of the game will usually nullify the promotion. Always check the details on Caesars Sportsbook’s promotional page before playing.

Odds

The truth is, most major sportsbooks offer competitive odds. They practically have to, lest they lose bettors like you to the competition. Caesars is no exception to this rule, as it offers solid odds pretty much across the board. No single sportsbook has the “best” odds. instead, you’ll often find individual sports betting sites have the occasional advantageous line. Shopping around for the best odds is a crucial strategy for any bettor, and Caesars should almost always be a guaranteed stop on your journey. Below, we’ll look at a few examples of Caesars’ odds and how they stack up against competitors.

Does Caesars Have Good Point Spread and Totals Odds?

Short answer: yes. But remember, odds vary by sportsbook. Chances are you’ll find the best line at Caesars from time to time, just as often as you’ll find the best line at another legal sportsbook. Here’s how one set of Caesars point spread and totals odds shape up compared to a major competitor: BetRivers.

Point Spread/Totals ComparisonCaesars Point SpreadBetRivers Point SpreadCaesars TotalsBetRivers Totals
Dallas Mavericks+6 (-110)+6.5 (-114)Over 216 (-110)Over 216.5 (-110)
Phoenix Suns-6 (-110)-6.5 (-108)Under 216 (-110)Under 216.5 (-112)

These lines tell us a few important things. First, Caessars and BetRivers offer an interesting choice if you’re betting on the Mavericks to cover. BetRivers’ +6.5 line is more favorable, but the odds are slightly worse at -114, while Caesars offers +6 at -110. A half point could make or break your bet, so you’d need to decide whether you want the extra half point or the better odds. The Suns spread presents the same choice. BetRivers’ line is more favorable but pays worse while Caesars line is slightly worse but better paying.

As for totals, Caesars is a clear choice if you’re betting the over. The line is a half point lower and the odds are better. Easy, clearcut decision. The under, however, requires a similar choice to those above. A worse line or worse odds? The differences are minuscule, but they can make a huge difference in the long run. These odds comparisons showcase the advantages of seeking the best odds at multiple sportsbooks.

Are Caesars Moneyline Odds Worth Betting?

Let’s keep the BetRivers comparison going, this time with baseball moneyline bets.

Moneyline ComparisonCaesarsBetRivers
San Diego Padres-140-148
Cleveland Guardians+120+125

Yet again, small differences; big impact. Here, Caesars is the obvious frontrunner if you’re betting on the Padres. A $140 bet would win you $100. To win the same amount at BetRivers, you’d need to shell out $148. BetRivers, on the other hand, gives better odds on the slight underdog Guardians.

You’ll find small alterations like this at many sportsbooks, further emphasizing the advantages of looking for the best lines wherever you can find them. Caesars, in this case, gives you better odds on the favorite if that’s who you’re looking to bet on.

Caesars Futures Odds vs. the Competition

Futures ComparisonCaesarsBetRivers
Phoenix Suns Odds+240+225
Golden State Warriors Odds+300+300
Milwaukee Bucks+625+600
Theoretical Hold11.52%13.59%

The table above includes the odds from the 2022 NBA Championship (before the Warriors won the title) from Caesars and BetRivers, including each sportsbook’s theoretical hold. Theoretical hold is the amount of profit a sportsbook expects to make on a futures market. The higher the hold, the worse the odds tend to be, and this was taking place at BetRivers, as you can see. Caesars had a slightly lower hold, and its odds on the Suns and Bucks were better than at BetRivers while the Warriors’ odds were identical. This means your bet on the Suns or Bucks would have paid better at Caesars.

You should always bet with the highest paying odds on a future market, but you can use theoretical hold to help inform your decision. Futures odds vary by sportsbook, so remember to check multiple sites to find the best-paying bets for you.

Depth

Caesars New York offers lines on every major professional and college sport in the United States. Whether bettors are into professional or college football, they’ll be able to find lines on the games they want at Caesars. Bettors will also find other popular professional sports, including tennis, golf, and MMA. Auto racing is a staple, too.

For bettors who want international leagues to bet on, nothing is better than the selection of soccer leagues. Soccer is the rest of the world’s religion, and Caesars Sportsbook reflects that in its soccer leagues. You can also bet on the Super Bowl.

However, it doesn’t have the eclectic selection of sports that some of its competitors have. DraftKings is still the king of sports variety, featuring an unmatched library of soccer and tennis options. Niche college sports, like hockey and baseball, are very limited or simply not available during the regular season.

In more niche markets, some options are not available as far ahead of time. Aussie Rules Football is a good example. Some sportsbooks will have the odds alongside plenty of betting markets, while Caesars may not even have the traditional lines up. They can also be fairly limited in markets for other niche offerings. But for the popular North American sports, there are enough markets to satisfy any bettor.

4.0
Deposit/Cashout

Caesars Sportsbook makes moving money back and forth between a bettor’s sportsbook account and their personal accounts simple. Sportsbooks don’t accept money from business accounts. Ironically, doing so is considered bad business. Caesars has several online deposit options that make putting money into it easy. These include:

  • Online Banking
  • Credit/Debit Card
  • VIP Preferred E-Check
  • PayPal
  • Caesars Pre-paid Card
  • PayNearMe

Caesars New York doesn’t include Skrill, which is an online wallet that some bettors find convenient. Some banks block transactions to gambling companies, making online banking deposit success dependent on a bettor’s bank. But the lack of online wallet deposit methods aside, it gives bettors a good selection of deposit methods.

The list of withdrawal options is a bit shorter:

  • Online Banking
  • VIP Preferred E-Check
  • PayPal
  • Caesars Pre-paid Card
  • PayNearMe

This is a solid selection of withdrawal options. It’s easy for sportsbooks to accept money. It’s harder to award it. Sportsbooks must ensure they aren’t awarding money to prohibited bettors, so they have to check each bettor’s identity before releasing funds. The available withdrawal methods allow sportsbooks to accomplish that lofty goal. But the withdrawal methods are still convenient.

4.0
App

Caesars leans into the Ancient Roman general that inspired its branding. One of the humorous notes in the app is it greets the user as “Emperor” on the loading screen. DraftKings doesn’t greet its bettors as “King.” Caesars’ brand personality makes it stand out from the other sportsbooks jockeying for market share.

However, it’s easy to overlook some of the shortcomings of the mobile app. The sports tab is actually the home page where bettors can find a list of featured bets. The “all sports” tab is the A-Z list of sports.

Clicking on any one of those sports takes bettors to the featured bets for the available leagues. The navigation feels a little clunky and redundant, but bettors who are determined to find what they’re looking for won’t have any problems finding it.

Overall, the app is clean and visually appealing. It’s uncluttered and pulls the dark theme off beautifully. It’s easy to breeze through the betting lines. It could improve some of the navigational clarity, but fine-tuning aside, Caesars is a great sportsbook app.

4.5
Overall

Caesars Sportsbook is the emperor of welcome bonuses, and it continues with one of the top deposit match bonuses in the industry. It features competitive odds because of the low vig that it charges. While it could improve some of the sports variety, the most important sports are accounted for.

Bettors don’t seem to mind some of the app’s limitations. Caesars has been seeing the most activity compared to other sportsbooks in New York. The opening welcome bonuses of free bets and being competitive with odds has certainly helped them surge to the top.

The gaming operator could also afford to expand its deposit methods to include the online wallet Skrill. But bettors won’t have any problems moving money back and forth between their personal and sportsbook accounts.

Overall, Caesars features a competitive sportsbook that any serious sports bettor should consider downloading.

How To Register for a Caesars New York Account

Registering for a Caesars’ account is one of the easiest parts of sports betting. Once bettors download the sportsbook app, they’ll be prompted to create accounts. If the prompt doesn’t come up, bettors can find the registration button in the top-right corner of the screen.

To register, bettors will be asked to provide their personal details, the last four digits of their social security numbers, and set two account security questions. After bettors upload a government-issued ID, bettors can make their first deposits.

Don’t forget about the welcome bonus code when registering at Caesars Sportsbook. Simply use promo code SHARPBETFULL while completing the process to receive a first bet of up to $1,250+ 1000 Tier Credits + 1000 Reward Credits®.

Is Caesars Sportsbook Legit?

Yes. Caesars is licensed in many states, which means it has passed all the tests it has been put through by various state governing boards. That’s a good sign for potential bettors because it means there has been no bad behavior. Bad behavior in one market jeopardizes access to the next one.

Caesars already has a strong track record in the state due to its operational status at three retail casinos. That’ll aid their expected popularity amongst the competition in New York as online sports betting rolls out in 2022.

They also have some common security measures that many online companies use to protect customer information. There are a few types of encryption that most sportsbooks use to foil hacker attempts to steal data. For example, end-to-end encryption encrypts bettors’ data from the moment it’s typed into the site to the moment it reaches the sportsbook’s server.

This is a standard practice that maximizes sportsbooks’ data security. With these kinds of precautions in place, bettors can feel confident in their money’s safety when it’s deposited into Caesars Sportsbook.

Caesars Sportsbook FAQs

Do I have to be in New York to create a Caesars Sportsbook account?

No. Bettors can make their accounts from anywhere in the country. However, account management tasks, like registration and deposits, are as far as bettors will be able to go if they’re out of state.

To place a bet, bettors must be in the state of New York or one of the markets where Caesars Sportsbook is legal. No bets will go through if bettors are trying to place a bet from outside a legal state. This restriction is accomplished through advanced geolocation technology.

Does Caesars New York have live in-play betting?

Yes. Live betting is a critical feature of any competitive sportsbook, and Caesars is no exception. The sportsbook has a section on its homepage and on each sport-specific page for live betting. It’s one of the most profitable sections of any sportsbook, so bettors will be hard-pressed to find a major sportsbook brand that doesn’t offer it.

Does Caesars Sportsbook have single-game parlays?

Yes, Caesars offers a Same Game Parlay feature on select sports and events. Eligible games will have a “SGP” symbol next to them. Click or tap into the event and select the “Same Game Parlay” tab to choose props that can go toward building a SGP.

Many popular North American sports and leagues, such as the NFL and NBA, feature a SGP option for every game. NHL options can be a bit limited as there are no options to string together player points or assists. However, more MLB odds are available for SGPs, such as selecting total hits, RBIs, runs scored, etc.

How old do sports bettors have to be to use Caesars Sportsbook New York?

Sports betting is available for New York residents that are 21 or older. Retail sports betting was legalized and launched years before online sports betting. So, sportsbooks were located in New York casinos long before online sports betting was available. That meant bettors had to be 21 so they could get into the casino and access the sportsbook without compromising the casino’s liquor licenses.

How do I collect my Caesars Sportsbook winnings?

When bettors choose well and make a winning bet, their winnings will go into their Caesars’ accounts. To withdraw these winnings, bettors must go to the cashier section of their accounts and select the withdraw option.

From there, bettors must select one of three withdrawal methods and the amount of money that bettors would like to withdraw. It can take several business days for a withdrawal to process, so bettors will have to be patient. Average time estimates are between 24-72 hours.

What is the Caesars NY Promo Code?

The Caesars NY Promo Code is SHARPBETFULL. The sportsbook offers a first bet up to $1,250+ 1000 Tier Credits + 1000 Reward Credits®. The first bet must be placed within 30 days of opening an account.

Does Caesars have a New York sports betting license?

Yes. Caesars has a license and is approved to operate online and at retail sportsbooks in New York. It’s operational in the Oneida Indian Nation’s casinos, of which there are three across the state. There is a bit of a different experience between the retail and online options through Caesars. Not all odds markets may be available across all areas and sports betting bonus offerings are different.
