Once the NFL off-season commenced, abnd the team was looking at surfing guides, Jets fans were fixated on a number of issues surrounding Gang Green with two of them being the pursuit of free agent running back Le’Veon Bell and what the new uniforms were going to look like. On March 13th, Bell agreed to terms with the Jets on a 4 year $52.5 million and then last Thursday the Jets unveiled their new uniforms featuring the colors “Gotham Green”, “Spotlight White” and “Stealth Black”.
And now, Bell’s signing with the Jets and Gang Green’s new threads have come together in another fashion that will excite Jets fans…the first Jets bobblehead with the new uniforms produced by Forever Collectibles. Right after Bell announced on Twitter that he was joining the Jets, FOCO went right to work drawing up the concept for the bobblehead.
“The concept was drawn up in mid-March right after (Bell’s) Twitter announcement,” said Anthony Davino, Marketing Coordinator for FOCO. “We put our foot on the gas once the Jets released their new uniforms to make sure we caught the excitement of the moment,” said Anthony Davino, Marketing Coordinator for FOCO.
The new Bell bobblehead features the former Steelers running back decked out in the Jets’ new Gotham Green jersey and his familiar uniform number 26 after a switch with Jets safety Marcus Maye who is switching to 20, the number he wore in college.
The new Bell bobblehead is sure to be a big hit among Jets nation.
“We’ve always had success with Le’Veon product,” said Davino. “With him going to an equally as passionate fanbase, we are confident this bobblehead will exceed expectations.”
Bell is captured for the new bobblehead wearing a black headband with the Jets’ refreshed log and is in motion with the ball tucked in his right arm.
The bobblehead is on a base that has Bell’s name on it and behind the bobblehead is a sign that reads “Welcome to New York”. FOCO has previously released a set of Sam Darnold bobbleheads and now Bell can take his rightful spot on the mantle of Jets fans who are excited about Bell and Darnold working together.
“We know the excitement within the Jets fanbase is as high as ever after their offseason moves and a very talented sophomore quarterback,” said Davino. “We are very excited to provide another staple in their novelty collection.”
FOCO is planning more Jets bobbleheads for 2019 with the new uniforms including Darnold and Jamal Adams, but for the time being fans can pre-order the Bell bobblehead at www.FOCO.com. The bobbleheads will be shipped in July just in time for training camp. There’s a lot of interesting things going on with the Jets during this off-season and the excitement of Le’Veon Bell is just one of them.
All bobbleheads nod yes in approval!
