Yonkers Raceway announces 9 of 10 participants for $1 million Yonkers International Trot

Yonkers Raceway has announced the nine foreign participants for the 40th Yonkers International Trot to be contested on Saturday afternoon, October 13th. The $1 million, 1 ¼ -mile test is the fourth International since the race was brought back after a two-decade hiatus. The United States representative will be determined within the next week. 
 
The world-class trotters, two each from Italy and Sweden, and one from the Netherlands, Norway, Canada, Denmark and France, in alphabetical order, are:
 
Arazi Boko (Italy)
Cruzado Dela Noche (Sweden)
Dreammoko (Netherlands)
Lionel (Norway)
Marion Marauder (Canada)
Pastore Bob (Sweden)
Ringostarr Treb (Italy)
Slide So Easy (Denmark)
Up and Quick (France)
 
Each horse’s country of representation was determined either by ownership or sire.
 
“These are some of the best trotters in training and we’re very happy they’ve accepted our invitations,” racing secretary Steve Starr said. “I’m expecting a great race.”
