Special Xclusive Edge major discount offer below as you prepare to replace Tampa Bay and Miami players for Week 1!
The postponement of the Dolphins-Buccaneers game until Week 11 has created unprecedented scrambling in Fantasy Football circles. Following a wild preseason in which seemingly major and sometimes unusual news items broke consistently, now the beginning of the regular season has been thrown out of whack like never before. Byes in Week 1? In my past 20 years of covering Fantasy Football I have never encountered anything so remotely unusual at the beginning of the season.
But here are some scouting reports on how to deal with the players you must replace. And remember, our Fantasy Football issues are nothing compared to the real-life challenges that are being faced in Florida because of the impending storm.

I’ll be going deep here to help you out for Week 1’s previously unforeseen lineup moves you must make. You likely did not intend to start tight ends, kickers and defenses from this game in a lot of cases, so I will focus on the primary positions.
QUARTERBACK
You Must Replace: Jameis Winston
Options: Carson Wentz is a Top 15 QB to open the season. He threw the ball over 600 times last year and his weapons have improved. The Eagles do not have a reliable running game and Wentz will sling the ball frequently in the opener. … Sam Bradford has a good matchup against a very shaky New Orleans secondary and the pass rush is not strong either. … Brian Hoyer finished the preseason well and should at least be respectable against Carolina. … DeShone Kizer may make some mistakes against Pittsburgh, but he can hit the big play with his arm and can add rushing yardage and even a score. … Jared Goff may have a decent stat line against a Colts team that needs to gel defensively while also staying on the field too long.
RUNNING BACKS
You Must Replace: Jay Ajayi, Jacquizz Rodgers
Options: Eddie Lacy could score against his former team, Green Bay, and Adrian Peterson is a good bet to do the same vs. Minnesota. … Derrick Henry could see enough significant action and goal line work with DeMarco Murray possibly still not 100 percent recovered from a recent hamstring issue. … Darren Sproles is always a viable PPR plug-in when you have a dire need. … Shane Vereen should get consideration as the Giants could be without Odell Beckham Jr., or he may be limited, and they will have to find other methods to move the ball against a vulnerable Dallas defense. … Orleans Darkwa could also vulture some goal line work for the Jints. He did have a good preseason and could even push for some shared work with Paul Perkins. …. Tarik Cohen could get some work in catch-up mode or garbage time. … Latavius Murray could be another deep reach goal line stealer for standard leaguers. … Jamaal Charles looked good late in the preseason and the Broncos may test the Chargers’ run defense, which is missing Denzel Perrryman.
WIDE RECEIVERS
You Must Replace: Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, DaVante Parker, Jarvis Landry
Cooper Kupp will be in the offensive flow immediately in his pro debut vs. the Colts. … Corey Coleman has already started to look like he is “the guy” for Kizer. … Zay Jones should have a good day as Buffalo’s best pass-catcher against the Jets. … Robby Anderson has a veteran QB that won’t hesitate to look to him downfield. … Taylor Gabriel should see some big-play room against Chicago. … Paul Richardson starts for the Seahawks and the Green Bay secondary can be vulnerable to some key downfield strikes. …. Travis Benjamin has a tough matchup against Denver’s defense, but one blown coverage is all he needs for a big yardage strike. … If you are super duper desperate, ultra-deep options include Roger Lewis of the Giants, who may get some key looks if Beckham is out, and Brandon Coleman of the Saints, who may be needed to step forward for New Orleans.
