Jets Trade Richardson to Seattle

The Jets traded defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson to the Seahawks for wide receiver Jermaine Kearse and a draft pick, according to multiple sources. They will receive the Seahawks’ 2018 second-round pick, and the teams also swapped seventh-round selections.

Richardson was rumored to be on the trading block for some time. He reportedly will receive $8.1 million this season and will be a free agent in March. Kearse also was rumored to be traded and the Jets were recently were mentioned as being one of the top suitors. He had 41 catches for 510  yards and a touchdown.

Kearse provides the Jets with a legitimate threat at wide receiver.
