Michael Conforto on his second half surge, Fantasy Sports and the Seahawks

The Mets All-Star outfielder talks about his second half production. He has 12 home runs and 23 RBIs in 119 at-bats with a .359 OBP since the All-Star break. Only Giancarlo Stanton has more homers since the break. Conforto is emerging as a top Fantasy outfielder this season, and after some struggles in June, he should be a big contributor for your stretch run. If your trade deadline has not passed yet, don’t deal him unless you get a very significant return. Conforto also touches on his own Fantasy Baseball experiences, and then talks about his favorite NFL team, the Seahawks.

A.J. Ramos talks about his move to New York and the “closer mentality”

The new Mets’ closer discusses the deal that sent him away from the only franchise he ever played for, and how closing games is different mentally than pitching in any other part of the game. Ramos also reveals why one of his top pitches is so effective, and how he will deal with his good friend Giancarlo Stanton when he sees him in the batter’s box. Ramos should continue to be mostly effective when given the opportunity, as he has only blown two saves this year despite his past penchant for sometimes putting himself into tight situations. His strand rate is down to 74.6 percent this year, so he has walked less of that old cliched tightrope. Ramos should be solid for a few more weeks, but the possible return of Jeurys Famila around the end of the month could move him back into a setup role that he may be ticketed for in 2018 as well.
