Fantasy NASCAR: I Love New York 355 DFS Preview

Scott and Sean Engel analyze the DFS NASCAR field for the I Love New York 355 at the Glen. They are joined by longtime NASCAR Stats expert Mike Forde, who weighs in on some of his favorite bargain selections.

This week’s event is at Watkins Glen International in New York, the second road course race of the season. First, Sean and Scott discuss the differences between the road course tracks on the circuit. Then they get you ready for right turns this week! In the past, Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart were among the best guys to use at the Glen. But those stars have moved on, and now Kyle Busch may be the premier standout play at the site. He is actually not the highest priced driver on the board this week, but with four career road course wins, he should be a top contender again this week. Busch is coming off his first win of the season, and has finally seemed to steer clear of some bad luck. Jimmie Johnson is one of the proven superstars of the sport, but he is lacking recent momentum, and when you factor in past history at this site, you’ll get some interesting takes. Denny Hamlin is surging, and with his price, he is also worth strong consideration. Mike Forde then stops in to offer his scouting report on Dale Earnhardt Jr. in his final event at the Glen. He also touches on Joey Logano, who is compelling because of a falling salary. Sean and Mike then further examine some of the better value drivers, touching on experienced types and younger guys who can make their marks this week.

One driver who gets a heavy focus this week is A.J. Allmendinger, who is a demon on road courses. Should you consider David Ragan, who seems to be on the clearance rack for this event? Sean then shares his initial DraftKings lineup, Scott takes a quick look at NASCAR Fantasy Live ownership percentages.
