New “Pitch-Man” on the Mets Mound Tonight at Citi Field

New Pitch-Man in Mets Rotation: All eyes will be on Howard Gershowitz tonight at Citi Field when he takes the mound for  the Mets home game vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates as he throws out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the 7:10 start. Having won $1.5 million playing the slots at Empire City Casino, Howard G. is the biggest winner in Empire City’s 10-year history and his winning is the largest amount ever won in a New York State non-Indian casino. As a die-hard Mets fan who recently underwent a series of shoulder surgeries, Howard may never compare to Jacob deGrom when pitching from the mound, but he sure is a winner, too.  Although gambling is Howard’s sport of choice – his slot arm is much stronger than his baseball arm – we can still bet as to whether he’ll  throw a strike on the mound tonight! By the way, tonight’s Free Shirt Friday featuring deGrom is sponsored by Empire City Casino.
Howard G. has gained popularity by being the face of Empire City’s recent campaign, Real People, Real Money, Real Deal,” and is frequently stopped and photographed when out in public.
