With his 15-game suspension schedule to end on Thursday, the Mets closer Jeurys Familia will continue his minor league tune-up tonight in Binghamton.
Familia made an appearance on Saturday in St. Lucie, throwing a scoreless inning and will probably get another appearance after tonight.
Last season, Familia set a Mets record of 51 saves. After a lost weekend in Miami, where the Mets lost three out of four in walk off fashion, the 27 year-old will be a welcome addition to a beleaguered bullpen.
Familia is serving a suspension for a domestic violence issue which occurred Oct. 31.
