The creative team behind critically acclaimed film MAYBE TOMORROW returns with a love story unlike any other.
A Bellevue Love Story follows the relationship of a manic and a depressive who begin a hospital romance that forces us to question everything we thought we knew about medicine and the healing power of love. The film, written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Michael Wolfe, combines the dark comedy of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest with the romantic drama of indie films like Once and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
In addition to the two leads, the film will feature an eclectic and diverse ensemble cast that will bring to life the extraordinary universe of life in a psychiatric hospital. In addition to entertaining audiences, this film also hopes to continue an important conversation about the treatment of the mentally ill.
The film is Produced by Brooklynite Robert Nicotra and written and directed for the big screen by Queens resident Michael Wolfe. The film will be entirely shot in NY.
