There are a lot of sports talk shows and many of you reading that probably listen to WFAN or ESPN Radio on a regular basis.
But other stations are getting into the act, including WPAT 930 AM.
Every Wednesday from 6-7pm, hosts Ray Negron and Felix DeJesus host Impact.
This isn’t your regular sports show, since the hosts talk more than sports and delve into the entertainment world.
Since the show has been on they have enjoyed guests like Richard Gere, Franki Valli, Danny Aiello, George Foreman and Reggie Jackson.
Negron, a Yankee executive with ties to the entertainment world, plays off of DeJesus, a Showtime boxing announcer well. Because of Negron’s position with the Yankees and obviously the time of year,, the show is heavily devoted to baseball, although they sprinkle in other sports as well.
As a baseball fan, it’s that expertise, which draws you to the show.
However, talking sports sometimes can get monotonous and having the guests from the entertainment world discuss the sports world is interesting and entertaining.
Negron also is able to use his connections getting some Yankee historical guests, which also makes for a nice listen.
It’s a show that gives something for everybody and a welcome addition to the airwaves.
