Beach volleyball hits New York this summer, and fans who can’t make it to Hudson River Park’s Pier 26/25 along Manhattan’s West side on June 18 and 19 for the AVP New York Open will have the opportunity to watch the action live on NBC (Ch. 4 locally, check listings elsewhere).
NBC and the AVP today announced the season TV schedule, which includes live coverage of all eight Tour events. Viewers can tune in on Saturday, June 18, at 4 p.m. ET and Sunday, June 19, at 4:30 p.m. ET in one of the final big events before the Rio Olympics.
Veteran broadcaster and Olympic gold medalist Chris Marlowe will serve as the play-by-play announcer for all AVP telecasts on NBC and NBCSN this season. Marlowe will be joined by beach volleyball Olympian and three-time All-American Kevin Wong (analyst), and Olympic gold medalist Dain Blanton (reporter).
