The Beautiful Game at Yankee Stadium

Soccer has shined this season at Yankee Stadium with the debut of NYC FC, owned by Manchester City of the English Premier League and the New York Yankees.

Sunday afternoon was the first time the New York Derby hit Yankee Stadium, and it was a sellout crowd of 48,047, as NYC FC took on the Red Bulls.

Despite getting a goal just six minutes in, NYC FC lost 3-1, as the Red Bulls got three goals in the second half, including one from last year’s MLS scoring leader Bradley Wright-Phillips.
