NBPA Logo Challenge Draws Hundreds of Entries

The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) today announced the tip off for an online vote to help select a new logo for the NBPA. “The NBPA Logo Challenge” was an overwhelming success, with over 300 entries submitted from over 40 states during the three week entry period. The contest, powered by SportsBlog.com, was open to eligible fans ages 18 and up throughout the United States, will now be subject to a fan vote, and five finalists will be selected during the voting period from January 19- February 2, 2015. The winner will be announced during All-Star Weekend in New York in February 2015. Fans can vote once per day here.  All designs are the exclusive property of the NBPA.

“The support we received from fans across the country for this initiative was outstanding, and demonstrates the reach of the NBPA in communicating that we are an open, progressive and inclusive organization,” NBPA Executive Director Michele Roberts said. “We are very excited to see what happens with this next step of fan voting and are looking forward to meeting the winner during All-Star Weekend in New York.”

Following the selection of the finalists by the fan vote, the winning logo will be decided by a committee of players that will include members of the NBPA Executive Committee.  The winner will receive a prize package that will include an opportunity to help unveil the winning logo during All-Star Weekend in New York.
