The Red Star Cafe Is The Open Choice

As the US Open heads into its final weekend, there are many people who will be entering the grounds for the first time. While the tennis and stars like Serena Williams, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are the main attraction, the culinary delights on site at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center keeps fans coming back for more as well.

Now in its third year, the Red Star Café, sponsored by Heineken, is one of the most popular venues on the grounds. Elevated above the ground level, Red Star Café offers spectacular views, a cool late-summer breeze, plentiful entrees and tasty cocktails like the Grey Goose Honey Deuce, the US Open Signature Cocktail as well as various Heineken products on draft, including Strongbow Gold Apple Hard Cider and a full bar for your cocktail of choice.

Shareable appetizers include the Loaded BBQ Brisket Nachos or the Guacamole with Tortilla Chips. The most popular item on the menu is the Half Pound Cheddar Cheeseburger, which is a Pat LaFrieda burger blend with the works and fries. After one bite, you will know why it is so popular.

The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is also a delight, with its spicy honey buffalo sauce on roll. The Lobster Roll will also send your taste buds to heaven. Other menu options include a Chipotle Black Bean Veggie Burger, a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and a Chicken Caesar Salad.

So if you are coming to the US Open on one of the final five days, stop by the Red Star Café for a championship meal before a champion is crowned at the 2014 US Open.
