With a new NFL season upon us, it’s time to take a look at Week 1’s local picks. The Jets will be at home on Sunday against Tampa Bay, while the Giants will be in Dallas taking on the Cowboys on the NBC game.
Giants 24, Cowboys 21
Even with a new name, the Giants will continue their dominance in Arlington. AT&T Stadium – you can still call it “Jerryworld” or the “Death Star” – should have been named Eli Field, since Manning is the master of the comeback in Arlington.
Look for Manning to once again silence the Dallas crowd with a last minute drive to give Big Blue the Win.
Buccaneers 28, Jets 7
You may think Geno Smith was playing for Tampa as he turns the ball over four times in the first half – Darrelle Revis will have 2 INTs. Only when he gets pulled for Matt Simms in the third quarter will the Jets mount some sort of offense.
It’s the beginning of a long season for Gang Green. And the fun is just beginning.
