What would be more beautiful if the Yankees were completely eliminated before that game.

Considering all the haranguing that was done for ESPN to get that game, and turn it into a Sunday Night Baseball Showcase.

It just would be poetic if the final Sunday Night Baseball game of the season, and what appears to be ESPN's final game of the season period, and no postseason either, would be a completely, utterly meaningless game between two teams playing out the string.

And the only thing worthwhile to watch, the closing ceremony postgame thing, they can't even show because they'll be throwing it back to SportsCenter as soon as the game ends.
