Guv, this is your ball so by all means run with it as you see fit, but see if you like this suggestion:

When the tragic number(s) inevitably get(s) into the single digits, do you think it would be possible to use the images of all the numbers the Yankees have retired between 1-9? It would make this wonderful thread all the more enjoyable, at least to me.
