Default Rays Get Bradford

Sombody nudge Omar. His snoring keeps waking me up from the coma I've been put in by this bullpen's overwhelming failures.

Man, we went from a healthy Sanchez, an effective Heilman, Bradford and Darren Oliver to this pile of sh!t now.

it also seems like years since that amazing stretch by the pen during that 10 game win streak.

Where are Armando/Franco/Cook/Wendell/Mahomes when you need them?

Still probably the best pen corps this team ever assembled. I mean Orosco/McDowell and then Myers/McDowell were great, but by the time McDowell came up Sisk was what Erin is today, and the Mets never really had an effective "third guy" back there for the rest of McDowell's run on the team.

The Phillies came all the way back to tie the Mets at 7all, and win it 8-7 in 13 innings.

Good pick up by the Rays. The Phils picked up Scott Eyre in a trade with the Cubs.

I'm all for improving the pen .. but we already got a submarine righty there. I doubt he would be much of an improvement.

I love when people talk about players and moments that they never saw live.

You are aware of the rules regarding waiver claims, correct? The Mets could have claimed him and they still would have lost him to TB.

But I guess blaming Omar is just easier.

I first started seriously questioning Omar's IQ when he let Bradford go and signed Shoenshit. Turned out, unfortunately, that I was right.

Here's a groundball machine that proved he could pitch in NY and we let him go. Omar is a douche.

31 Dude. I grew up watching McDowell/Orosco and McDowell/Myers.

And Sisk was never the same after his injury.

Would you like me to list all Joe Sambitos, Ed Nunezs, Bob McClures, Randy Niemanns, Gene Walters and the Other Bob Gibsons that trudged through the Met bullpen from 1985 through 1989?

Omar should have kicked the Rays GM in the dong. They would have been way too distracted to claim Bradford...
