Agreed. You only need 1 run there and HAVE to get that guy into scoring position.

You not only take away the DP (assume the bunt gets down) but you also guarantee your #3 or 4 hitter a chance to hit with that runner in scoring position - outside of a line-out type DP.

...grounds out! On a 9 pitch AB. Runner on 2B, 2 out.

Bringing in Lindstrom. Let's see if he can be good against anybody besides the Mets...

Stokes? What about Armas and Figgy? Are they still Mets?

Does it really matter all that much if the Phils or Marlins win? The Mets are behind both.

They're only half a game behind FLA, tied in the loss, and I'd rather be 2 out of first than 3.

With the Marlins up this weekend, I'd rather they dent the Phils lead so the Mets can take care of the fish AND get closer to the Phils

And Geoff Jenkins -- who's actually dead and doesn't know enough to lie down -- grounds out to 1st.

I don't know that it matters much, as I think the Marlins are going to f*cking flatten them this weekend, especially with all the firepower they have and the beyond horrific state of this team's bullpen. They can barely get TWO outs in an inning without giving up runs, no less THREE.

I guess they don't want a junk baller with control issues (the last time he was up) vs a big time offense. They love Stokes' stuff and think he can give them a good start.Armas is done for the year(hernia)

If he does well we can slot him into the BP when Maine returns.
