on edit...little known fact that Churchill was not the favorite for the PM spot after Chamberlain's fall, Lord Halifax was considered by many to be a better candidate despite the fact that he wasnt totally against a settlement with Hitler...guess the british government made the right choice, however the heck their system works

I hear that brother. Also it's terrifying to think about just how close the British were to surrendering in those days. Right on the razor's edge for a day or two.
