Default Anyone been to Campbell's Field in Camden?

My company is having an event there tomorrow night. The Riversharks are playing the LI Ducks. I've been past the field on the way to the battleship New Jersey, but never been close to the stadium. I think I'm going to take the River Line train to the stadium instead of trying to drive to Camden.

I was surprised to see the stadium seats 6400. It has a really nice backdrop with the Ben Franklin Bridge:

I've been there a few times. Good view from all around, stadium never gets crowded.

It's not too far from the stop at the aquarium so you wont have to go roaming around camden. That area seems pretty safe, well safe for camden, where, by the way, a four year old died after being caught in a cross fire.

not sure where ur coming from...but theres a light rail to camden from trenton (not sure if thats the same thing as the river line u mentioned) but its cheap...like under 2$, pleasant ride too...however, I wouldnt want to set foot in either city if i didnt have to, though going to school about 3 miles from Trenton makes that kinda tough

I drive past it every day. Looks nice from the bridge.

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.

I was there a few years ago. Beautiful ballpark, right next door to the aquarium. Side note, I saw Dante Bichette hit a HR the farthest I have ever seen a ball fly. I swear it hit the bridge. (I know that's impossible, but I have never seen a ball fly that far.

The area around the stadium is fine. Just don't get too lost.

yeah you're safe for about a 1 mile radius in all directions. Once you start seeing boarded up windows, RUN!

Yeah I know the area somewhat. I'll be taking the light rail line in, so it's a short walk from the station.

When I take the PATCO line in to Phila, it goes right through the heart of Camden, and there are some really nasty areas that I would never go anywhere near.

Just found out it's dollar hot dog night. They may have to pump my stomach later tonight.

It was priceless watching Pete Rose Jr lumber around the bases at age 39. Carl Everett hit a 2-run HR. And Edguardo Alfonzo showed why his MLB career is over.
