| Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports the Mets have expressed interest in A’s RHP Huston Street, but does not believe the Mets matchup up well with the A’s. Rosenthal also suggests the White Sox, Dodgers and Brewers are interested in Street. Meanwhile, according to Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the Mets still continue to be a ‘prime suitor’ for the Pirates OF Xavier Nady. Kovacevic reports the Pirates continue to seek two prospects each for both Nady and LHP Damaso Marte. |

| Ah yes...but which two prospects would the Mets be able to offer without being fleeced?

| Too bad the Mets don't have enought to get both, because Street would definitely fit in nicely for the stretch run for 8th and 9th inning support. Nady, Beltran, and Chrurch if healthy is nice OF. Really have missed Nady's bat since he left. |

| why would street come in and be ok with being a setup to wagner? Only reason to get street, is if we find out that Wagner is hurt, and going to be out for an extended period of time. Maybe this is why they cancelled the MRI, to take away leverage from the A's. He'd be a great addition, but I just dont see him wanting to be a setup, and I dont know if you can ask Wagner to be a setup guy without him going crazy. A platoon? Doubtful. Street will cash in on Save totals when he comes due for FA. It's clear that guys like Argenis Reyes, Nick Evans, Muniz, possibly have been up as showcasing as of late. A deal of Heilman + Evans + Carp/Murphy is probably enough to make the A's say "hmmmm...". I'd think the Pirates might say hmmmm.... to the same package for nady, though, they'd most likely ask for fernando for nady or even bay.

| Sorry but I've never been impressed with Street. Outside of leading Baseball in blown saves every year what does he add? Imo Sanchez and Heilman are better than him.

| He's got a MUCH cooler name than either of those guys, though.
