Default Delgado still getting it done....

1.5 games back...never would have guessed it...

I feel good about this team...Martinez stepping it up..Tatis looking good... Big Pelf here proving he's a major leaguer...

Delgado taking his walks and slamming the fat pitches...

I was thinking Mets in first before the end of July... Heck they might be there before the All-Star break...

I got crucified last week when I said...Delgado was not done...

I stand firm... he's still proving me right...

You have not seen the lat Last of Delgado in the clean up spot, Mark my words...

GET THE PIECE OF CRAP McGimpy OFF MY TEAM NOW!!!!!

The McGimpy does most things upside down: eats, sleeps (an average of 23 hours per day), mates, and gives birth. Because of the McGimpy's upside down life, many of the McGimpy's internal organs (liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas) are in different positions from other mammals. McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

I'm not sure that Martinez has "stepped up". Pitching a halfway decent game when your team hands you an eight run lead doesn't usually require a guy to be in Cy Young form.

Ehh I appreciate Delgado's spurts of offense but the Mets would be far better suited by obtaining an OF solution to keep Delgado in the 6th/7th spot in the order. In no way should his option be picked up, I'm just glad for the Mets to get anything out of him at this point.

It's Delgado head and mouth that need to be shipped out of here. His decomposing bat is the least of his bad points.

Like I said, he always hits when the other teammates hit. They can hit really bad pitches. good for them. When pitchers can actually spot a curveball and throw change-ups for strikes, he'll suck again.

If the Mets make it to the playoffs, it's because we get a left fielder who can hit. Delgado is toast, no matter how hot he is for limited runs. When he hits when the team doesn't, I'll believe he's back. Instead, he's no better than Tatis/Chavez, who all magically get hot at the same time. Just like you get hot when Delagdo bends over as a ball rolls through his legs.

Nah he'll get hurt in the next week or so. Last year he had really two somewhat hot streaks he got hurt during both of them. Once he came back he was back into his usual hit it right into the shift mode.
