Default Delgado No Likey Cohen and Keith...

LOL.... From Klapisch...

NEWS ITEM: Keith Hernandez, Jose Reyes verbally spar.

Talk about a generation gap: Hernandez, on his watch on SNY, was merely following his genetic coding, which is to speak the truth. It's a trait the former first baseman honed to a lethal, fine point in the Eighties, when he took control of the Mets' clubhouse by telling his teammates who was hustling and who wasn't.

So it's no real surprise Hernandez and Reyes got into it during a recent charter flight, a story reported by the New York Post. Hernandez has been telling viewers that the Mets' shortstop is an unfocused, immature kid who needs to sharpen his enormous skills.

Reyes lashed out at Hernandez at 35,000 feet, although the confrontation wasn't quite as heated as originally reported. But the animosity was real enough for us to believe Carlos Delgado may have had a hand in it.

The first baseman has been at war all year with Hernandez and boothmate Gary Cohen – so much, that none of the aforementioned parties will acknowledge each other when crossing paths in the clubhouse.

Delgado has enormous influence on the Mets' young, Spanish-speaking players, which is reason enough to believe he fanned Reyes' anger. But that might not be a bad outcome for the Mets: Reyes has the talent to replace Delgado as the team's most dynamic all-around player, if only someone would motivate him.

Hernandez might've done just that. If so, all it took was a simple dose of old-school medicine: the truth.

These tools need to stop worrying about what they are saying on SNY, and concentrate on the friggin' game.

Besides,. Gary sniffs jock way too much on SNY for my liking already, what more does Delgado want anyway?

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.

Cohen practically licked Delgado's ass in that fluke 9 RBI game. What more does he want?

He wants Cohen to stop sniffing Castillo's and Chavy's jock and start sniffing his. Delgado is just picking up where Julio Flinstone left off when it comes to the broadcast team.

I love the fact that the Mets have an on-air broadcast team that's generally positive but still honest enough to piss off the players.
