A valuable pinch hitter and that's it. How either Randolph or Manuel could let him see an inning in the field is beyond me.

Anderson has had a good enough track record as a pinch-hitter and he has turned it on sufficiently in the second half each of the last two years that I hope the Mets hold on to him. That said, I agree that he's not a serious option to start games.

Anderson is fine...ON THE BENCH....much like Chavez. The problem is with Alou and now our Alou Jr wannabe barely playing LF/RF this year they've been used way too much.

Anderson is essentially useless. Get rid of him.

McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

Plus, he's a fairly versatile defensive player. He's scuffling right now, but I don't think we've reached the point where he should be cut loose.

Amazing how good he looked as a pinch hitter(and even when he got some starts last year) vs how bad he has been this year. So far he's looked alot like Julio Flinstone this season.
