Default FREE VAL PASCUCCI!!

I read yesterday that one of his two MLB homeruns was against Al Leiter.

Good enough for me.

Minor League Baseball: Stats: Player

Power. Pitch selection. Doesn't clog the bases. 1B and corner OF. Has tasted the majors and will likely play his ass off.

Yeah --- he's overqualified.

Is Pascucci remarkably horrendous in the OF? I have no idea.

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.

In that he's incapable of playing a competent OF, or he's not athletic in the "non-athlete" type of way?

Yes, but even still its no worse than what we've seen from Anderson and Aguila the last 2 nights.

3rd.

It's a no-brainer. (orangenblue? Do you agree if this is a no-brainer? You ARE the expert on no-brainers afterall...)

He's EXTREMELY motivated by several more milestones - close to 3000 hits I believe... - ergo his willingness to play for free.

I honestly see absolutely no downside.

The 3 possibilities are:

1. He rakes, makes everyone around him better and the mets start winning.

2. He rakes, pissess off the entire clubhouse and everyone rally's against him. (at least the clubhouse is united, bonds will still rake).

3. He sucks, can't play defense and is washed up and gets sent to prison in September. (the mets are out 1/28th of the amount of money they're paying luis castillo and they probably sold some more tickets on the first couple of game days).

and on the absolute best issue, we can answer the age old question of: Can Bonds' production in half a season be greater than Luis Castillo's over 4 years?

Ok, so worst case scenario is he becomes Trot Nixon with plate selection.

Downside?
