Yanks to check out Victor Zambrano

Of course with our luck, he'd Shawn Chacon* them to a playoff spot.

*Using "Shawn Chacon" as a verb here denotes the way he had a great half-season for them out of nowhere, not the way he went batshit crazy on his GM

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.

The Yankees cannot possibly be that desparate.

LOL

Yeah. Maybe the Yankees could have Zambrano and Ponsone pitch both ends of a doubleheader in Jerome's honor.

I guess I am president of the "I feel bad for Victor Zambrano" club, but he didn't deserve the hatred that we as fans spewed on. It wasn't his fault he was traded for Kazmir, he did pitch hurt while he was here, and there was a stretch when he pitched very well.

I wish him luck.

I disliked him for his suck factor, but you can't really hate HIM for who they traded to get him.

He still had a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE suck factor.
