Default Interesting Stat...

Mets are 21-31 when "knees" bats in the #2 hole....

They are 20-11 when "anyone" else bats there....

True indeed....I realize that Castillo's negative effect is not groundbreaking, but seemed worth noting since the winning percentage differential is so vast...

645% vs. 404%

If the Mets could win 404% of their games with Castillo batting two, I say leave him in the lineup.

Although, admittedly, that pales compared to winning 645% of their games with him out of there.

WTF is going on today? Between this and the longest slump in history, it's like Bizarro MOFO or something.

One is stupid in an obvious way. One is stupid in a "holy crap!" way. Guess which is which?

It would be an interesting stat if we were talking about Luis Castillo v.2000. Then a person would say "How the hell can a team with a guy like this be playing .404 ball with him in the top of the lineup?" With Castillo v.2008, it pretty much makes sense.

Easely was 2nd last night, had a good game, and the Mets still lost.

I understand now. In the future, I will resort to only posting in all of the other very enlightening and earth shattering threads.

I thought an actual statistic (that is quite important) might hold some interest, but apparently only the "Castillo sucks" posts/threads are relevant...

My apologies....

Which shows that stats can be twisted to prove any argument.

The real stat I'm interested in is the runs differential between having Castillo in the 2 spot vs. not having him there. Does anybody know how many runs they have scored with Castillo in the 2 spot vs. him not?

Interesting stat: The mets are 0-0 when fielding a team containing zero latinos.
