| ESPN - Plenty of options for GM, managerial openings - MLB This is an article about possible GM's and Managers, and I nearly threw up reading this: Quote:
Other names I found interesting on the list...and also made me feel a bit old: Jerry "oh no" Dipoto - rising young Asst. Gm for ARZ and future mgr candidates... Tim Bogar Pat Kelly Andy Fox Jamie Quirk

It's just absolutely insane, that because a guy is a paisan he gets an advantage automatically, whether he is the most qualified or not. F*cking sickening. | |

| Senior Member | The last time Jayson Stark was right about anything was like, never. That's why most of his columns and blogs are all about silly numbers and whacky occurrences that nobody really cares about... He still has a Philly beat writer mentality too, and if you read the rest of the article there's tons of ball washing in it. Everyone in the Philly front office will be a GM next year... And for what it's worth, the article also says that Jeffie wants Oberkfell... |

| I think the whole point of bringing Oberkfell to NY was to get him exposure to the limelight. I watched Burkhart (sp?) interview him and he seems like a great guy. He has proven himself year after year in the minors too, IMO.

| I have nothing against Latinos in general, but the emphasis on this connection to the team is of ridiculously epic proportions. Enough already.
